Fall in Houston

Only in Houston does fall mean: short rompers and long dusters!

It's like appropriate to wear this sweater in the early mornings and late evenings, but other than that I'm just romping around town in short shorts and booties because it's still hot here! I'm trying not to be bitter about it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of those in full sweater weather now!

Part of my Oklahoma travels not long ago took me to Medicine Park near the Wichita Mountain Wildlife reserve. They had a small shop there with all kinds of local made items. This necklace was made by a local Navaho jewelry artist. I love finding things on my travels that I know I'll wear or use. It helps me keep the memory of that occasion alive! You should try it if you don't already do this for yourself. It's pretty neat to put something on and remember, oh yeah - I got this when I did _______.

This duster is my new favorite! It is black but it has all these colored threads throughout. This makes it perfect to wear with anything! They're out of this online at Runway Seven. But I saw some still in stores. If you have a location near you, you should pop by and grab this!

Booties are from Target. Here's a trick: if your booties are uncomfortable, buy them a half-size up and then put New Balance inserts in them! Voila, problem solved. Mine are last years but click here for a similar version.

Still rocking this fringe bag from Off Saks 5th. I couldn't find this online as it was on their sale table when I picked it up in store. So, you might have to stop by a Saks outlet and do some treasure hunting :).

This romper is from Bella Ragazza. The cutest little shop!  Check her out on FB: Bella Ragazza Boutique.
